SCPLH (SCOTTISH CERTIFICATE PERSONAL LICENSE HOLDERS)
Our Level 6 SCPLH course has been developed by some of the top subject matter experts in licensing for those involved in the sale of alcohol in both on-sales and off-sales environments. It has been designed to ensure that licence holders comply with current alcohol legislation in Scotland.
These standards are necessary because of changes in the law which makes them part of the licensed trade’s responsibility, i.e., a regulatory requirement, to help keep Scotland safer and healthier. The course is delivered in 1 day in a classroom environment, by a trained and experienced trainer.
The qualification covers Introduction to licensing, responsible operation of licensed premises and the effect of alcohol consumption on customers and your business. Protecting children and young persons from har,m the effect of alcohol consumption on customers and your business, understanding the 5 licensing objectives, the key roles and powers of statutory bodies, the differences between personal, premises and occasional licences.

It is applicable to a wide range of sectors, and can be taken by anyone requiring a better understanding of how to prevent conflict from arising, or would like to feel more confident in being able to deal with challenging situations. he course is delivered in 1 day in a classroom environment, by a trained and experienced trainer.
The qualification covers communication, human responses in conflict situations, assessing and reducing the risks in conflict situation, de-escalating conflict in emotive situations, good practice following a conflict situation and disengagement techniques.
