Emergency First Aid at Work

Edinburgh Saturday 18 July (09:00-13:00)


The Emergency First Aid at Work course can be provided as a Hybrid course, combining eLearning theory with on-site practical training, or as a full day of training, including both theory and practicals delivered in a classroom environment.


This qualification covers essential knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident, and first aid skills including CPR and the use of an AED. Additionally, participants will learn how to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking, as well as how to deal with external bleeding and hypovolaemic shock.


The cost is £80 per person, with a £20 deposit required. Discounts are available for previous learners, corporate clients, or multiple bookings, which may also include options for the Door Supervisor Refresher or Security Guarding Refresher courses.

To complete this qualification, learners are expected to finish pre-course work, which includes Emergency First Aid at Work training, ACT Awareness, ACT Security, and SGR eLearning. Following this, learners will participate in 3 hours of classroom learning in one day, covering topics such as the Door Supervisor Refresher and working effectively as a security officer.


The qualification involves completing 1 multiple choice MCQ exam along with practical assessments, including searching techniques.

Sia Door Supervisor Refresher

To complete this qualification, learners are expected to complete pre-course work including Emergency First Aid at Work training, ACT Awareness, ACT Security, and DSR eLearning. Then, participants will engage in 11 hours of classroom learning over 2 days that includes essential topics such as the Door Supervisor Refresher and physical intervention refresher (PIR). The Emergency First Aid training will be conducted on Saturday 18 July 2026 from 09:00 to 13:00.  

  

The qualification requires learners to pass 2 multiple-choice MCQ exams, undergo practical assessments that cover searching techniques, and demonstrate physical intervention skills.

Sia CCTV Operator Course

Edinburgh Tuesday 28 July - Thursday 30 July (09:00-17:30)


To complete this qualification, learners are expected to complete pre-course work such as unit 1 PWIPSI eLearning. Then, they will engage in 22 hours of classroom learning over 3 days, covering essential topics including working in private security and operating as a CCTV operator. Additionally, participants will benefit from a Door Supervisor Refresher and an Emergency First Aid at Work module during the course.


The qualification requires learners to pass 2 multiple choice MCQ exams and fulfill practical assessments such as statement writing and CCTV operations. If you have completed SIA security officer or door supervisor training after April 2021, you may be eligible for exemption from the first MCQ exam. Evidence of RPL (Record of Prior Learning) must be provided in the form of your original training certificate issued by the awarding organization. This is particularly relevant for those who have undertaken a Security Guarding Refresher.
